Blackpepper Chicken Quiche




Salam, hari ni nak share recipe yg sy dpt dari Cik Mahirah Izzati a.k.a kawan dari pasum sy.. die yg suggest sy resepi ni katenye sedap & family die semua suka. So aku pun nk try la buat. bila google tgk2 kene  buat pastry mende yg plg lemah nak buat sebab takut keras, rapuh & etc..

tp cik mahi cakap senang je nak buat so semangat siket nak baking ni...

so bahan2 nyer ialahhh



 





Crust
200g  flour
1/3 teaspoon salt
100g  butter
3table spoon cold water       (sehingga tidak melekat di jari & bekas)
       
Directions:
 1 Mix flour and salt with fork.
 2 Mix flour and butter by crumbling method using the tip of your finger.
 3  Sprinkle in ice water 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until all the flour is moistened and dough almost cleans the sides of the bowl.  Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to rest.
 4  Press into 8” pie pan.
 5 Bake at 200°c until it turns slightly golden (halfbake) for about 8-10 minutes
 6  You can double the recipe, divide dough in half, and roll out into a pair of rounds for two-crust pies.


Filling (can be varied according to your liking)

Dairy whipping cream          100ml
Fresh Milk   50ml (can be up to 100ml -depends)                                                     
1-2 Eggs   (depends on type of eggs & your likeness)
Cheese   ( e.g 100gm cheddar, 100gm mozzarella) - depends                                           
Capsicum   (diced)
Boneless Chicken breast (chopped)                  
Button mushroom (diced/sliced)
3 Garlic (diced)                                                                                    
1 Holland onion (yellow)(diced)
Black pepper      (can also use Oregano)                                                                                
Salt


Heat the pan with some oil and stir in garlic. Add in the onion and fry until cooked. Add in the chopped chicken breast and black pepper.
In a small bowl, beat eggs with a fork; stir in whipping cream, fresh milk and cheese. 
Mix in the stir-fried chicken breast into the egg mixture. 
Pour the mixture into pie crust and sprinkle some cheese and capsicum. 
Bake in the preheated oven at 200°c for about 30-35 minutes until it turns golden brown.


p/s: here is some tips.. 2nd time aku buat quiche hari tu.. aku susun dulu ayam kat atas pastry sbb nk divide into 3 quiche.. so aku x masukkan ayam dalam eggs mixture.. since ade jgk resepi lain yg buat cmtu.. aku follow je la.. n the outcome is sooooo muak!! sbb egg mixture tu are egg+whipping cream+milk semata2.. mmg la muak.. next time mix semua ayam, cheese & egg mixture sekali baru ade rasa blackpepper n x muak sgt...
satu lg tips.. quiche ni sedap dimakan dgn cili sauce =)
